FORMAT OF SALES LETTER:

A sale letter is like a direct form of communication, because in a sale letter we try to persuade the consumers to buy the particular product. So, it should be written in a proper format so that people can easily understand what seller wants to say them.  I research online about the format of sale letter and also read many blogs about sale letter. Here are some following points which should be included in a sale letter:

1.       Headline: This is the basic part of a sale letter, when you start writing a sale letter you should write first a heading in which you would be explaining about a particular problem and how your product can resolve it. You will give company’s introduction and your specialty.

2.       Body: In this part, you would describe the product or service and tell about the benefits of that particular product or service. Also you will try to attract the people to buy your product.

3.       Contact information: This is very important part of a sale letter, because it is quite necessary to give right contact information. You should provide phone numbers, mail id, and company’s websites, so that people can have more information about your company.

FACTORS DETERMINE THE LENGTH OF A SALE LETTER:

Advantages of a product: First of all, the advantages of any particular product should be written on the sale letter, this usually decides the length of a letter. If the advantages are more than it will make long sales letter whereas if the advantages are less than the sales letters will be short.

Specific points: There are many types of sales letters which cover only specific points or only relevant information while there are also many other sales letters which consist of so much writings as well as lengthy paragraphs. If there is only specific information provided in the sales letter than it will be a short sale letter, On the other hand, if there are many paragraphs written in the sale letter than it would be a long sale letter.

Visual or Graphic effects: A well written sale letter consists of many visual effects like headings, subheadings, bold letters, underlining, italicizing, CAPITALIZING etc. if a sale letter involves additional visual effects than there will be a long sale letter, however if it includes less visual effects than it would be a short sale letter.

WRITING STYLE: If a writer is giving two or three opening paragraphs, double spacing between paragraphs, paragraph contains of 10 or 11 lines, additional commas etc. than it is going to be a long sale letter and on the alternative side if there are less spacing between paragraphs and the paragraphs are no longer than 6 lines each than it will become a short sale letter.
